Tom is an associate in the New York office of Hughes Hubbard & Reed and a member of the firm’s Corporate department. Tom provides strategic counsel and support on a range of commercial and corporate transactions to clients. He has experience in commercial contract drafting and negotiation, intellectual property licensing agreements, complex collaboration and development agreements, data privacy, mergers & acquisitions, and other matters related to the media, technology and entertainment industries.
Prior to joining the firm, Tom served as Senior Counsel at Nielsen where he also worked as an intern in Nielsen’s Legal department while attending law school. He was also an attorney in the Capital Markets group of another large law firm.

- Represented Investindustrial in the acquisition by its portfolio company Nexture of Frulact, a leading global manufacturer of fruit-based specialty ingredients and flavors, from funds managed by Ardian
- Represented Republic Airways Inc. as transactional aviation counsel in connection with its merger with Mesa Air Group, Inc.
- Represented Flushing Financial Corp., the holding company for Flushing Bank, in its proposed merger with OceanFirst Bank N.A. in a transaction valued at $579 million.
- Represented Sphere Entertainment, a live entertainment and media company, in its acquisition of Advanced Electronic Design, an engineering product development firm.
- Represented global information technology leader Infosys in its acquisition of MRE Consulting, a Houston-based energy consulting company
- Represented Geller & Company on the sale of its multi-family office business to Corient, one of the fastest-growing national wealth advisors in the U.S.
- Represented Indian hotel PRISM on its acquisition of G6 Hospitality, the parent company of U.S. hospitality brand Motel 6
- Represented AMC Networks Inc. in connection with its purchase of BBC Studios’ equity in BBC America
- Representation of Sotheby’s in connection with a $1 billion minority investment round with Abu Dhabi-based investment and holding company ADQ and other investors.
- Represented Hyve Group, an international organizer of exhibitions and conferences, in connection with its acquisition of healthcare event company HLTH
- Represented diversified biopharmaceutical company ANI Pharmaceuticals in its acquisition of global pharmaceutical company Alimera Sciences
- Represented Standard Motor Products in its $388 million acquisition of Nissens Automotive, a leading European manufacturer of engine-cooling and air-conditioning products
- Represented London-based Bloomsbury Publishing (BMY), the publisher of the Harry Potter series, in its acquisition of the academic imprints and associated titles of Rowman & Littlefield, its biggest acquisition to date
