Kiran H. Rosenkilde is an associate in the Litigation department and a member of the White Collar & Regulatory Defense group.
Kiran’s practice focuses on high-stakes white collar defense and investigations and complex commercial litigation on behalf of companies across a variety of industries in state and federal court. Highlights include obtaining a judgment of acquittal as part of a trial team representing an aerospace engineering executive in a DOJ criminal antitrust “no poach” case, leading an investigation concerning hedge fund bonus payments, and assisting in the representation of the Danish Tax Authority in seeking to recover over $2 billion wrongfully obtained through a fraudulent tax refund scheme.
Prior to joining Hughes Hubbard & Reed, Kiran clerked for the Honorable Sarah L. Cave of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. Kiran began his career as an assistant district attorney at the Bronx District Attorney’s Office, where he investigated and prosecuted a range of violent crimes and public corruption offenses, including official misconduct committed by public servants. He also served as a senior counsel in the Special Federal Litigation Division of the New York City Law Department.
In Kiran’s government service, he served as lead or co-counsel in jury trials in state and federal court and led dozens of grand jury presentations.
Kiran is active in his pro bono practice and in his community. Kiran has represented clients in immigration matters, at the hearing and appellate level, and has provided counsel to non-profit organizations. In addition to his legal work, Kiran competes for, and serves as Vice President for, the New York Harriers running team.

- Obtained a judgment of acquittal at trial in a DOJ criminal antitrust “no-poach” case on behalf of an executive in the aerospace engineering industry.
- Represented an individual charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering in connection with the “OneCoin” cryptocurrency scheme.
- Representation of an individual in connection with a criminal foreign-exchange manipulation proceeding brought by the DOJ.
- Represented global cybersecurity and intelligence advisory consulting firm in civil RICO action.
- Represented a senior Dubai bank executive in a civil fraud action alleging his theft of $50 million from Dubai entities.
